Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking applicants for the Grounds Maintenance Service across various locations. The role requires 37 hours per week, reporting to the depot by 7:30 am, and demands a suitable level of fitness to handle physical tasks such as walking for 5 hours and operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities include grass cutting, strimming, and maintaining green spaces. Experience in grounds maintenance is desirable, and a full driving licence is essential. Training will be provided for specific operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to report to the depot by 7:30 am.
• Must be fit to handle physical demands.
• Previous grounds maintenance experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Cutting grass and maintaining green areas.
• Hedge cutting and litter picking.
• Using herbicides and pruned areas as required.

Skills

Ability to walk for a minimum of 5 hours a day
