Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Public Realm Operative within Grounds Maintenance at Woolsthorpe Depot. You will perform grass cutting, hedge work, pruning and litter clearance to keep public spaces welcoming for residents.

The role requires a valid driving licence, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and good teamwork and communication abilities. Hybrid working is available where appropriate along with pension benefits and generous leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• Current driving licence and willingness to train for role qualifications.
• Experience in grounds maintenance or related outdoor work is desirable.
• Strong health and safety awareness and ability to work with tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support upkeep and improvement of outdoor spaces across Nottingham City.
• Perform grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning and litter clearance.
• Use hand tools and grounds maintenance machinery following safety practices.
