Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative on a 3-month contract with a Local Authority. The role covers parks, open spaces, and public realms with frontline operational duties.

You will operate grounds machinery, maintain high safety standards, and work Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm, in Kidderminster. A Full UK Driving Licence is essential and previous outdoor maintenance experience is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• NVQ Level 1 or above in Amenity Horticulture, Landscaping, or related discipline.
• Relevant grounds maintenance or horticultural experience.
• Qualifications in grounds machinery operation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, mowing, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning, edging, weeding, planting and landscaping.
• Undertakes sports pitch marking and maintenance duties as required.
• Complete daily work records using manual or electronic systems.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and wear PPE.
