Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a dependable Grounds Maintenance Operative to service our estates and keep communal spaces clean, safe, and well maintained for residents. The role is outdoors in all weather, offering a practical, hands-on position with具ethe ability to work independently or in small teams.

You will be responsible for maintaining green spaces, collecting bulk refuse, and representing the organisation positively on-site, with all necessary PPE and equipment supplied.

Qualifications

• Experience undertaking grounds maintenance duties such as gardening and upkeep of communal areas.
• Experience carrying out bulk clearance or refuse collection duties.
• Ability to work in small teams.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than six points and at least two years driving experience.
• Safety-conscious with ability to plan workload and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communal green spaces across our sites.
• Collect bulk refuse in line with schedules and standards.
• Represent Southern Housing on estates and support positive resident experiences.
• Work outdoors in all weathers with provided tools and PPE.
