Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking to recruit for a nursery-based role, seated in a village location where your own transport is essential to travel to and from the setting.

The role focuses on providing high-quality Early Years care, fostering curiosity, outdoor learning, and Forest School experiences to support children's development and readiness for school.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing high-quality care and Early Years education.
• Ability to plan developmentally appropriate activities around children's interests.
• Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and Early Years education throughout the nursery day.
• Create experiences around children's individual interests and developmental needs.
• Use age-appropriate resources to encourage exploration, creativity and independence.
• Support children as they develop new skills and become increasingly confident.
• Make outdoor learning a meaningful part of children's everyday experiences.
• Make full use of the nursery's dedicated gardens and Forest School opportunities.
• Support pre-school children to develop the confidence and skills they need for their transition to school.
• Observe children's progress and plan meaningful next steps.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing.
