Job summary

Thornbridge Outdoors, the outdoor learning centre operated by Sheffield City Council near Bakewell in the Peak District, is seeking casual instructors to deliver high-quality outdoor education sessions.

Your main role will be to run a range of activities including mountain biking, canoeing, high ropes, caving, climbing, hillwalking and bushcraft for diverse groups across the Peak District and occasionally at schools, with options for single days, weekends and blocks.

Qualifications

• Passion for outdoor activities and delivering outdoor learning.
• Experience leading outdoor activities and ability to deliver across the centre's activities.
• Hold Mountain Training Rock Climbing Instructor or higher, and at least one of: Hill and Moorland Leader, Cave/Mine Leader, Canoeing qualifications, or mountain bike leadership for Peak District.

Responsibilities

• Run high quality outdoor education sessions for diverse groups.
• Deliver activities across Peak District venues and schools as required.
• Coordinate sessions for various formats: single days, weekends, part weeks, blocks.
