Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Downpatrick is seeking a Postie to join our delivery team. This permanent role involves sorting letters and parcels at the delivery office, delivering by van and on foot in your local area, and building relationships with customers.

You will work outdoors in all weathers, be physically active, and follow routes with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery. Full training and a uniform are provided, along with a driver assessment and a UK manual driving licence.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required for delivery routes.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances and lifting mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials when required.
