Job summary

Royal Mail in Coleraine is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to sort and deliver letters and parcels across the local area. You will be on a rotating schedule, working five days in seven, with weekend work and a structured rota that may vary by demand.

The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, the ability to pass a driving assessment, and physical fitness for walking long distances and lifting mailbags. Training is provided, with a uniform and a red Royal Mail van included.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) is required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting/carrying 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
