Job summary

Affinity Water is hiring an Acoustic Logging Technician to help detect leaks across its water network. This entry-level role offers full training and onboarding, with responsibilities including locating fittings, deploying loggers, and recording data.

You will work outdoors in all weather, be part of a team, and gain technical skills in the water industry. A full UK driving licence is required and flexible hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Basic IT, maths and English skills are required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, proactive and self-motivated.
• Drivers licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Locating water main fittings across the network.
• Deploying and collecting acoustic logging devices.
• Using leakage detection equipment to record and analyse noise samples.
• Documenting activities in company systems and processes.
• Meet targets, including deploying/collecting at least 80 loggers per day.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Handle equipment safely, including lifting manhole covers.
