Job summary

Affinity Water is hiring an Acoustic Logging Technician to help detect leaks across the water network. No prior acoustic logging experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided, making this an excellent entry-level role for individuals seeking to develop technical skills in the water industry.

You will locate fittings, deploy devices, record noise data, and document activities while achieving targets and adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should enjoy outdoor work in all weather conditions and be reliable and proactive.
• Must have basic IT, maths and English skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to perform physically active tasks and manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Locate water main fittings across the network.
• Deploy and collect acoustic logging devices.
• Record and analyse noise samples using equipment.
• Document activities using company systems and processes.
• Meet operational targets (minimum 80 loggers per day).
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Safely handle equipment including lifting/replacing manhole covers.
