Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust seeks a substantive GP post for its Out of Hours service, delivering urgent primary care across Oxfordshire when routine practices are closed. You will assess and treat patients from birth to end of life, advise non-medical clinicians, and work within a multidisciplinary team in clinic, at home, and remotely.

The role includes overnight, weekend, and bank holiday shifts, with 17 hours per week, and requires full GMC registration and completed GP training.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess and manage same-day urgent care in primary care setting.
• Use of current evidence base and clinical audits to support decisions.
• Autonomous assessment and management of undifferentiated illness, including remote care when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and manage patients needing same-day urgent care.
• Care for patients from birth to end of life, with appropriate interventions.
• Provide face-to-face care in base clinics and home visits; remote telephone consultations.
