Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Community/District Nurse to lead a team of nurses and healthcare assistants in our out-of-hours service spanning 19:00–08:00. The role is fixed-term for 12 months and requires exceptional clinical, delegation and autonomous decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult/RGN) with current NMC registration.
• Degree or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.
• Mentoring/Practice assessor qualification or experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of nurses and healthcare assistants within the out-of-hours community service.
• Provide autonomous clinical decisions and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Support ongoing development of urgent care services and participate in induction and supervision.
