Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks a competent Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor at Berwick Infirmary. You will work closely with qualified OTs, assist with assessments, fit equipment, support rehabilitation, and help patients gain independence across hospital and community settings.

The role requires good communication, teamwork and safe working practices, with weekend work and site flexibility across Northumbria sites as needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent/experience in health, social care and education settings.
• Basic IT skills (MS packages) and database management.
• Knowledge of OT techniques and activities relevant to client group, via training/OT setting.

Responsibilities

• Support OT team with planned interventions in hospitals or community settings.
• Assist with basic environmental checks and equipment prescription under OT direction.
• Carry out administrative duties related to service delivery.
