Job summary

Sword Group is seeking an experienced OT Solutions Architect in the UK to design and shape secure, scalable Operational Technology solutions for critical nationwide programmes. You will collaborate with engineering, cyber security and client teams to define end-to-end architectures across security, infrastructure, networking, and IT/OT convergence.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering OT solution architecture in ICS/OT environments.
• Strong understanding of SCADA, control systems, industrial networking.
• Experience designing secure, resilient OT solutions.
• Knowledge of networking, infrastructure, virtualization, real-time systems.
• Experience with Azure or AWS.
• Ability to perform at strategic and detailed design levels.
• Experience creating architecture documents and design artefacts.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end OT solution architecture across programmes and projects.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into secure, scalable designs.
• Design OT architectures covering infrastructure, networking, hybrid hosting, security.
• Produce architecture diagrams and technical documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise principles and operational requirements.
• Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural guidance throughout delivery.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms and supplier solutions to support objectives.
• Support procurement by defining technical requirements and assessing proposals.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and cyber security teams to resolve challenges.
• Contribute to architecture governance and solution patterns across the IACS practice.
• Balance long-term roadmaps with immediate priorities.
