Job summary

Sword is seeking an experienced OT Network Engineer/Consultant to design, implement and deliver secure, resilient OT and industrial network infrastructure across complex environments in the UK. You will work with firewalls, DMZs, VLANs and secure remote access, collaborating with clients, vendors and internal teams to ensure aligned, robust solutions.

Strong hands-on experience with enterprise and industrial networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing is essential, along with knowledge of major

• Experience designing secure OT and industrial networks.
• Experience with firewalls, switches, routers and DMZs.
• Understanding of OT security principles and frameworks (IEC 62443, Purdue Model).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure OT and industrial network architectures.
• Configure firewalls, switches, routers and secure remote access solutions.
• Design and implement network segmentation across IT, OT and safety-critical environments.
• Support deployment of industrial DMZs, security zones and conduits.
• Configure VLANs, routing, access controls and network security policies.
• Support firewall policy design, rule reviews and optimisation.
• Implement secure connectivity for OT applications and industrial systems.
• Produce network diagrams, firewall rule sets and test plans.
