Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an OT Engineer for a 12-month initial contract hybrid in the North East, Inside IR35. The role focuses on OT/ICS security, HSM integration, PKI, and certificate lifecycle management in a power sector environment, bridging OT operations and IT security near substations and control centers.

You will advise on network segmentation, deploy HSMs in OT, manage PKI with CA architectures, and engage stakeholders across IT and OT teams while complying with NERC CIP and related

Qualifications

• OT/ICS environment expertise across power sector control systems with Purdue Model familiarity.
• Working knowledge of industrial protocols including DNP3, IEC 61850, Modbus, IEC 62351.
• Experience deploying Hardware Security Modules in OT environments at substation or control centre scale.
• Understanding of CA architectures, certificate issuance/renewal and PKI integration in OT.
• Knowledge of NERC CIP and related standards with ability to engage stakeholders across OT/IT.
