Job summary

Anglian Water Group is seeking an OT Field Engineer to maintain and commission OT hardware and networks across our water and water recycling estate. You will diagnose faults in telemetry, PLCs, HMIs, and other field devices, supporting real-time monitoring and control.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, firmware upgrades, and collaboration with operational teams to ensure continuous, secure OT operations.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC/HND level or equivalent in electrical/controls.
• Experience in maintenance, commissioning or field service of electrical, instrumentation or telecoms systems with relevant technical qualifications.
• Experience with PLC/HMI hardware and software, ideally Rockwell/Schneider platforms.
• Knowledge of industrial networks and OT cybersecurity practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair OT field hardware including telemetry outstations, PLCs, HMIs and I/O modules.
• Perform minor process control modifications to meet compliance and continuity needs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on OT equipment and networks.
• Perform firmware/software upgrades to OT devices to maintain security and reliability.
• Support other teams during planned maintenance to safely shut down and bring OT assets online.
