Job summary

United Utilities is seeking an OT Field Technician (Electrical) to join the Operational Technology team at Lostock Water Treatment Works. You’ll handle fault finding, maintenance, and support for automation systems in a critical utility environment.

Applicants should be electrically qualified, have experience with SCADA/PLC, and hold a UK driving licence. The role is full-time and onsite, with a 37-hour work week and excellent employer rewards.

Qualifications

• Electrical or instrumentation apprenticeship completed.
• Experience with industrial control and automation systems.
• Familiar with SCADA, PLC and telemetry.
• IT hardware familiarity and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support plant monitoring, control and automation systems.
• Diagnose faults and implement solutions to recurring issues.
• Support SCADA, PLC, telemetry, communications and electronic security systems.
• Collaborate with operations and work management teams to deliver services.
• Ensure Health & Safety and information security compliance.
