Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Older Adult Community Mental Health team on the Fylde Coast. This Band 5–6 development post offers progression to Band 6, with structured supervision and CPD opportunities.

You will work under supervision to develop assessment, intervention planning, risk management and multidisciplinary collaboration, advancing to greater autonomy as competencies are achieved.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) and HCPC registration.
• Experience in older adult mental health and community services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills in assessment, intervention planning, risk management and MDT working within Older Adult Community Mental Health services.
• As competencies are achieved, progressively take on increased responsibility, autonomy and leadership functions.
• Provide occupational therapy interventions to maintain, restore or enhance the individual’s ability to engage in self-care, productivity, and leisure within their environment.
