Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an OT Cybersecurity Consultant to support Critical National Infrastructure clients across energy, water, rail, highways, aviation and defence in the UK. You will assess, design and implement cybersecurity controls for OT/ICS environments, collaborating with engineering and operations teams to enhance resilience and secure operations.

You will contribute to secure OT architectures, risk-based decision making and documentation for diverse projects while keeping pace with evolving

Qualifications

• Experience in OT cybersecurity within Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) or similar industrial environments.
• Knowledge of OT/ICS technologies such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, RTUs and industrial networking.
• Hands-on security engineering across IT and OT networks (endpoints, firewalls, IDS).
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO27000 series, MITRE ATT&CK and NIS/NIS2.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to communicate risk-informed security considerations to business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support assessment, design and implementation of cybersecurity controls in OT and IC environments.
• Understand system architectures, operational requirements and security risks with engineers and operators.
• Review OT networks and ICS for improvements in security and resilience.
• Contribute to secure OT architectures including segmentation, remote access and monitoring.
• Produce clear technical documentation and client deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate cyber risks across OT environments and IT/OT convergence.
• Support incident readiness, threat detection and monitoring initiatives as needed.
