Job summary
Portsmouth Water is seeking an proactive OT Engineer to design, develop, and optimize OT solutions across Production assets in Havant, UK. You will work with Process Science, Operations and Technical teams to improve site reliability, reduce energy use, and strengthen resilience while focusing on water quality and safety.
You will lead OT/ICS projects, upgrade OT assets, and enhance process control to boost production output.
Qualifications
- Experience working in OT or industrial IT.
- Experience in PLC/HMI programming and SCADA development.
- Experience working to and from project/engineering documentation.
- HNC/HND Electronic Engineering/Control Systems Engineering.
- Advanced understanding of Industrial Control Systems.
- Advanced understanding of OT communications and networking.
- Ability to successfully obtain UK Government Security Clearance (SC).
Responsibilities
- Lead OT system improvements for reliable production operations.
- Implement OT/ICS projects.
- Upgrade and optimise OT assets.
- Improve process control for output, resilience.
- Support factory/site acceptance testing.
- Commission OT works and handover to operations.
- Maintain change control for docs, software and PLC/HMI/SCADA files.
- Monitor OT cyber security to protect operations.
- Fault find and diagnose Industrial Control Systems.
- Provide EICA/OT support across water treatment works and network assets.
- Deliver training, mentoring and guidance to colleagues.
