A leading water utility in the United Kingdom is seeking a Telemetry Configuration Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will deliver telemetry configuration services, ensuring compliance with standards and using tools like ClearSCADA. This role offers a supportive working culture with opportunities for development and learning. Benefits include 25 days of leave, a competitive pension scheme, and a flexible working environment.
Our telemetry system is one of the largest in the utilities sector, providing 24/7 365 monitoring and control to 1000s of our operational sites across the Anglian Water region. Our team provides real time telemetry configuration and support services to internal, operational and further OT teams. Your desirable expertise in ClearSCADA and RTU configuration will ensure assets are set‑up to measure asset performance to a safe and consistent standard. You will be responsible for the delivery of configuration work to pre‑approved designs, with any deviations escalated to the Senior Engineer. Our OT Department is undergoing role and structural change and it's likely this will offer more learning and development opportunities and job variety for a successful candidate in the coming months.
We are looking for proactive, self‑motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Telemetry Configuration team on a permanent basis. This is a “learn‑as‑you‑go” opportunity, as we work within a niche industry with systems that have been constructed to meet the specific needs of a large and demanding water network and everything in‑between. You will be keen to learn, with an appetite to absorb information efficiently and effectively, under the mentorship of our Senior Engineers and technical experts. You will bring a dynamic and forward‑thinking approach with first‑class interpersonal, analytical and communication skills, which will enable you to swiftly become an asset to our team, as well as the Anglian Water Business.
If you are offered a job with us, you’ll be subject to the relevant/standard employment checks, including your right to work in the UK, reference, driving licence and identity check. Depending on your role, you may also be subject to further pre‑employment checks.
We are committed to making sure all our colleagues feel they belong and are supported to succeed. We hold the Social Mobility Pledge; we are also a signatory to Business in the Community’s Race at Work charter; we hold the Armed Forces Gold Covenant for Employers; we are an accredited Disability Confident employer, and we play a leading part in the Women’s Utility Network.
