Xad Technologies LLC is looking for Technicians to join our team in Nottingham.

Position Summary:

The Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of our equipment. We are looking for a candidate who is mechanically inclined with a strong background in electrical and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Education: Telecom Diploma / or Relevant working Experience
  • Knowledge of Rules and regulations about Health & Saftey standards in OSP work
  • Knowledge and experience of fiber optic technology FTTx
  • Understanding of difference between single and multi-mode fibers
  • Ability to read and interpret network diagrams also detailed instructions
  • Manage pole climbing and working at heights and small confined spaces
  • Experience pulling and dressing fiber optic cables in an OSP environment
  • Keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining the safety standards
  • Experience of splicing for the both loose tube and ribbon fibers optic cables
  • Proven experience for the different vendor`s splicing machines and techniques
  • Experience on cables preparation for the ODF installation and joint enclosures repair/maintenance
  • Hands on experience of fiber optic test equipment VFL, Optical Power meter, OTDR and related test equipments
  • Must have experience and familiarity with installing & handling various fiber optic types including multi core duct and direct buried cables
  • Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
