Job summary

Steeper Group in Leeds is seeking a cast rectifying technician to join our plastics department. You will manufacture high quality orthotic products and help maintain KPI performance while adhering to QA and HSE standards.

You will work with hand tools and machinery, report on production performance, and assist in training and developing others in the team. The role supports continuous improvement and requires good housekeeping and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in Plastics Manufacturing and techniques or equivalent qualification.
• On the job training will be given for the right candidate with limited experience
• Background working with hand tools and applicable machinery is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high quality orthotic products.
• Maintain KPI's (key performance indicators).
• Report performance.
• Train and develop others in the team.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards.
• Work with fellow technicians to improve processes and overall production effectiveness.
• Escalate stock shortages for the area.
• Ensure NCRs are processed without a backlog and that the information is present.
• Ensure QA systems and working practises are adhered to at all times.
• Troubleshoot issues as and when required.
• Create a culture of right first time.
