Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time band 6 orthoptist to join a dynamic team at Colney, working across paediatric and adult strabismus services. The department values teaching, research and ongoing professional development.

You will contribute to all aspects of the Orthoptic Service, participate in supervision of undergraduate students, and collaborate with five orthoptists, thirteen consultants and four optometrists to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in orthoptics and HCPC registration is essential.
• Experience in paediatric and adult strabismus services preferred.
• Commitment to teaching and audit.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with ocular motility disorders and amblyopia.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans using specialist skills and evidence-based practice.
• Participate in supervision of undergraduate orthoptic students.
