Job summary

Spire Healthcare Limited in Bristol is seeking a Perioperative Practitioner – Orthopaedics to join our private hospital team. You will scrub orthopaedic procedures, support the theatre team, and help maintain safe perioperative pathways in a no-nights role.

You’ll work with surgeons and anaesthetists, contribute to governance and quality, and mentor junior staff in a patient-centered environment that values excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or ODP with orthopaedic theatre experience.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Proactive, patient-focused approach with commitment to high clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing for orthopaedic procedures (e.g. joint replacements, arthroscopy).
• Support theatre team across perioperative pathway.
• Prepare equipment and ensure theatres are safe and compliant.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and MDT.
• Contribute to clinical quality, governance and continuous improvement.
• Support junior staff and foster a positive team culture.
