Job summary

Sirona Medical Ltd in Scotland is recruiting experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Nurses to work in a busy NHS hospital. You will scrub for total hip and knee replacement procedures and support consultants throughout major joint surgeries.

Applicants must have hands-on orthopaedic scrub experience in THR and TKR, be registered with NMC or HCPC, and have NHS theatre experience. Ongoing, regular shifts with a trusted recruitment partner are offered.

Qualifications

Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse - Sirona Medical

Sirona Medical are currently recruiting experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Nurses to work within a busy NHS hospital in Scotland.

We are looking for skilled and confident Orthopaedic Scrub Nurses with proven experience in major orthopaedic surgery, specifically Total Hip Replacements (THR) and Total Knee Replacements (TKR).

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners seeking ongoing, regular shifts with Sirona Medical.

Applicants MUST have recent, hands-on orthopaedic scrub experience in total hip and total knee replacement surgery. General scrub experience alone will not be sufficient for this position.

Essential Requirements - Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Proven experience working as an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse within NHS or UK hospital theatres.
• Essential: Experience scrubbing for Total Hip Replacements (THR) and Total Knee Replacements (TKR).
• Strong knowledge of major orthopaedic surgical procedures, instruments, implants and equipment.
• Experience assisting Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons during major joint replacement procedures.
• Confident working independently as an Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner within a busy theatre environment.
• Understanding of infection prevention, sterile techniques and patient safety.
• Minimum 6 months' relevant NHS experience.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary orthopaedic theatre team.

Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse - Responsibilities

• Scrubbing for elective Total Hip Replacement and Total Knee Replacement procedures.
