Job summary

Sirona Medical Ltd in Scotland is recruiting experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Nurses to work in a busy NHS hospital. You will scrub for total hip and knee replacement procedures and support consultants throughout major joint surgeries.

Applicants must have hands-on orthopaedic scrub experience in THR and TKR, be registered with NMC or HCPC, and have NHS theatre experience. Ongoing, regular shifts with a trusted recruitment partner are offered.

Qualifications

• Registration with NMC or HCPC as appropriate.
• Experience scrubbing for THR and TKR in NHS/UK hospitals.
• Strong knowledge of orthopaedic procedures, instruments and implants.
• Experience assisting Consultants during joint replacements.
• Minimum 6 months NHS experience.

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing for elective THR and TKR procedures.
• Prepare and manage orthopaedic instruments, implants and equipment.
• Support Consultants during major joint replacement surgeries.
• Maintain sterile technique and theatre safety.
• Assist with orthopaedic operating lists and theatre workflow.
• Collaborate with anaesthetists, circulating staff and recovery teams.
