Job summary

RTC Resources Ltd is recruiting an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse or ODP to support hip and knee surgery lists at a private hospital in Bath. The role requires confident scrub practitioners with recent major lower-limb orthopaedics experience.

You will prepare theatre, provide scrub support during hip/knee replacements, maintain sterile field, assist with counts and documentation, and work closely with the theatre team to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as a nurse or HCPC registration as an ODP.
• Recent scrub experience in hip and knee replacement surgery.
• Good knowledge of orthopaedic instruments and implant systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the theatre, instruments and equipment for orthopaedic procedures.
• Provide scrub support during hip and knee replacement surgery.
• Anticipate surgical requirements and handle instruments and implants safely.
• Maintain the sterile field and complete surgical counts and documentation.
• Work closely with the theatre team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
