Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Enhanced Recovery Practitioner for orthopaedics. You will lead the multidisciplinary team to embed enhanced recovery on orthopaedic wards, support patients pre- and post-operatively, and assist with post-discharge follow-up and clinic reviews.

You will drive service development, promote evidence-based practice, and work to reduce length of stay while increasing day-case arthroplasty.

Formación

NMC/AHP registration is required.
Diploma or degree in Nursing/AHP.
Recognised mentorship qualification should be held.
Leadership training or management development is desirable.
Minimum 2 years of orthopaedic experience.
Completion of a leadership/management programme is expected.

Responsabilidades

Coordinate the enhanced recovery pathway for hip and knee arthroplasty patients.
Deliver patient education sessions for informed consent and expectations.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress along the perioperative pathway.
Actively participate in morning team brief and multidisciplinary learning.
Promote early mobilisation, pain control, and timely discharge.
Identify and respond to clinical deterioration or complications.
Liaise with consultants and provide a single point of contact for patients throughout their journey.
Support ward staff and contribute to discharge planning and patient flow.
