Job summary

Element Deeside is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee the Organics Department's daily operations, training, and development. You will lead a team, collaborate with Laboratory Managers, suppliers and engineers, and support the line manager in day-to-day tasks.

The role focuses on safety, quality and timely delivery, with responsibility for staff performance, training planning and ensuring adherence to ISO 17025/MCERTS standards in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Maths preferable.
• A-levels in Chemistry and other science and maths subjects preferable.
• Experience in a commercial analytical laboratory with 4+ years.
• Competence with analytical instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
• Lead and mentor the team to ensure high-quality data and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with Laboratory Managers, suppliers, and engineers.
• Ensure compliance with UKAS ISO 17025 and MCERTS requirements.
• Maintain records, training, and performance management.
