18 Week Support is seeking an Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant for weekend insourcing opportunities in Southampton. This role offers competitive rates and flexible weekend sessions, facilitating significant contributions to NHS waiting list recovery initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have full GMC registration, experience within the NHS, and the ability to work independently. Join a supportive environment alongside dedicated nurses and consultants, making a difference in patient care and waiting times.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience working as an Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant within the NHS.
• Current Licence to Practise.
• Strong ability to interpret diagnostic investigations and clinical findings.

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Connaissances

Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant – Weekend Insourcing Opportunities

We are currently seeking experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Consultants to support weekend insourcing lists in Southampton, contributing to NHS waiting list recovery initiatives. These sessions offer the opportunity to work within a well-supported, patient-focused environment across a variety of services, including:

• Outpatient clinics
• Minor oral and head & neck surgical procedures
• Extractions

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients from NHS waiting lists
• Interpret diagnostic investigations and clinical findings
• Deliver high-quality care within a multidisciplinary team setting
• Provide clinical leadership and, where appropriate, supervision to junior colleagues
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including clear follow-up plans aligned with Trust pathways

Requirements

• Full GMC registration with Specialist Register accreditation in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
• Current Licence to Practise
• Demonstrable experience working as an Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant within the NHS
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
