Job summary

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an experienced Oracle Systems Management Lead to own the Oracle Fusion platform and drive strategic delivery across Finance, HR, Payroll, Procurement, EPM, Reporting and Risk. You will act as product owner, ensuring resilience and alignment with council priorities while maximizing licensing value.

In this senior role you will oversee service performance, governance, supplier relationships and continuous service improvement, shaping Oracle services

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing ERP suppliers and service delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion.
• Experience handling major incidents and escalation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into Oracle solutions.
• Analytical with continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience managing governance and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic ownership and leadership of Oracle Fusion platform.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, service reviews and escalations.
• Lead major incidents, change management processes and release planning activities.
• Oversee Oracle quarterly patching cycles, testing and business readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
• Support governance, audit requirements and performance reporting.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective Oracle solutions.
• Leading and supporting teams to deliver excellent service outcomes.
