Job summary

Deutsche Bank is seeking an Oracle Database Engineer in London to help develop automation platforms and support Exadata environments. The role requires AVP-level responsibility with hybrid working options.

You will work on incident analysis, platform automation, and collaboration with application teams to optimize product and performance choices. The ideal candidate will have deep Oracle DB expertise, Exadata proficiency, and strong scripting skills in Bash/Python, with a focus on scalable

Qualifications

• Oracle Certified Master or equivalent preferred.
• Expert in Exadata infrastructure and Exadata Cloud.
• Strong PL/SQL, Bash and Python scripting, and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation platforms and modules for database operations.
• Analyze incidents for root cause and update platforms and automation to fix issues.
• Develop platform automation tooling to reduce toil.
• Support application development teams in product and performance decisions.
• Provide L3 product database support for Exadata Cloud and Oracle Databases.
• Design database models.

Your key responsibilities

• Developing automation platforms and modules to support database operational support teams
• Analysing incidents for root cause and update platforms and automation to eliminate problems
• Developing platform automation tooling to eliminate "toil"
• Providing support to application development teams in product and performance selection
• L3 Product database support for Exadata Cloud and Oracle Databases.
• Designing Database Model

Your skills and experience

• Preferably Oracle Certified Master(OCM), Expert in Exadata infrastructure, Expert in Exadata Cloud @ Customer and Autonomous Expert in Oracle Performance Tuning, PL/SQL Development, Bash / KSH Shell Scripting, Python 2.7 / 3.x Development, Ansible Playbook Development, database scripting and automation technologies Knowledge of Java 7/8 Development Skills, Oracle APEX, Git / Stash, JIRA
• Strong experience with Oracle 11g R2/12c/18/19C,RAC,ASM,Dataguard including build, administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Strong experience in backup, recovery( including flashback technologies) and migration using RMAN, data pump and export\import processes
• Knowledge of network and firewall, enterprise storage concepts & ITIL framework
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
