Job summary

OutsideClinic in the United Kingdom is seeking an optometrist to perform domiciliary eye care across South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. You will visit patients in their homes, completing comprehensive exams with a 1-hour appointment time to build strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Provide optometry services in patients' homes across South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
• Appointments are 1 hour long to build relationships and deliver high-quality care.
• Autonomous decision-making with quick access to senior optometrist support at head office.
• Training and equipment provided to work independently using latest devices and systems.
• CPD support and time to complete examinations as required.

Responsibilities

• Visiting around 6-7 patients each day at their homes with longer appointments.
• Make clinical decisions autonomously, with available colleague support when needed.
• Operate advanced equipment and digital records with minimal paperwork.
• Engage in CPD activities and professional development supported by the company.

Days: 4 or 5 days a week (No weekends)

A vital and rewarding role

We're on the lookout for an optometrist in South Yorkshire who has access to regularly visit patients in the South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire areas.

This is an important hire for us as we have a waiting list of patients in the area who are eager to get access to our trusted at-home service.

We're a flexible employer, and you can choose the number of days you work to fit around family and other commitments - plus we never work weekends!

Equipment

All of our Optometrists are provided with a full equipment kit, along with comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident before working independently. You can view our equipment in action here Equipment Video

You will:

• Help around 6-7 patients every day, visiting them in their own homes. Our appointments are longer than you’d get on the high street (1 hr), allowing you time to form better relationships with your patients and deliver gold-standard customer care.
• Be trusted to make autonomous decisions and valued for your expertise. Although you'll never be on your own as you can get support or a second opinion in minutes from our senior optometrist team at head office.
• Use the very latest equipment, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer and our industry-leading digital records system, which means no paperwork.
• Be supported with your CPD. We'll invest in you and give you the time to complete exams if required.
