Job summary

OutsideClinic is seeking an Optometrist to deliver high-quality eye care across Exeter and surrounding areas, visiting patients at home with appointments of up to one hour. The role offers a market-leading salary up to £74,000, a strong bonus structure, and a fully expensed company car for business and personal use.

We support CPD, provide comprehensive equipment, and promote a patient-centric service to improve access to eye care.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering care in patients' homes or domiciliary settings is advantageous.
• Ability to make autonomous clinical decisions with support available from senior optometrists.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes and conduct comprehensive eye examinations (longer appointments to build rapport).
• Utilize latest equipment and digital records to document findings with minimal paperwork.
• Work with the team to ensure high-quality, accessible eye care across the UK.

Commission: Paid Monthly

Company Car - for business and personal use

Days: 4 or 5 days a week (No weekends)

A vital and rewarding role

We're on the lookout for an optometrist in Devon who wants to help us achieve our mission of changing people's lives through clinically excellent eye care.

This is an important hire for us as we have a waiting list of patients in the area who are eager to get access to our trusted at-home service.

Equipment:

All of our Optometrists are provided with a full equipment kit, along with comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident before working independently. You can view our equipment in action here Equipment Video

You will:

• Help around 6-7 patients every day, visiting them in their own homes. Our appointments are longer than you’d get on the high street (1 hr), allowing you time to form better relationships with your patients and deliver gold-standard customer care.

• Be trusted to make autonomous decisions and valued for your expertise. Although you'll never be on your own as you can get support or a second opinion in minutes from our senior optometrist team at head office.

• Use the very latest equipment, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer and our industry-leading digital records system, which means no paperwork.

• Be supported with your CPD. We'll invest in you and give you the time to complete exams if required.
