Your Role

A typical day involves screening patients, coaching and training the wider team, and helping to maintain standards in the department. We offer a comprehensive CPD programme and protected time for further accreditations funded by Asda, supporting your professional development. You will be fully supported by in-store, regional, and head office teams, whether your query is clinical or service-based, ensuring you receive expert advice and support.

About You

At Asda, service and creating a memorable customer experience are key. You will use your clinical skills and passion to achieve this. Working with an Optical Manager (qualified Dispensing Optician), you'll contribute to a clinical and operationally excellent environment. You will support coaching, training, and developing new patient services to meet customer needs. You should be:

  • A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC and NHS area team or health board
  • MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months, funded and supported by us)
  • On track to meet statutory CPD points requirements
  • Able to deliver a memorable customer experience
  • Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the department's culture
