Job summary

Asda Opticians is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team in Langley Mill. The role involves eye examinations, contact lens care, and extended service assessments, working with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train staff and uphold departmental standards.

The position offers training opportunities, CPD support, and NHS service delivery within a busy retail environment. You must be GOC registered and eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Evidence of NHS performer list for the region.
• MECs or WECs accreditation (or willingness to gain within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported).
• Able to meet statutory CPD points requirements and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Perform eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations.
• Work with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train and coach staff and maintain department standards.
• Deliver NHS-funded eye care services and pursue additional accreditations as needed.
• Provide high-quality patient care and memorable service to customers.
