Bootle Specsavers is hiring a Lab technician to prepare customer spectacle orders to the highest standard. You’ll join a close-knit, experienced lab team in a busy Specsavers store, contributing to high clinical standards and exceptional customer care.

We seek a proactive communicator with an eye for detail, capable of handling blocking, glazing, tinting, and assembly tasks in a fast-paced environment across optics and retail teams.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an optical lab is required.
• Strong eye for detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Read lens and frame specifications from prescriptions.
• Use blocking and glazing machines to cut lenses to shape.
• Assemble lenses into frames.
• Tint lenses for UV protection and color options.
• Maintain good housekeeping and machine upkeep.
• Order frames and lenses as needed.
• Quality-check completed glasses.
