Job summary

Specsavers in Chatham is seeking a Lab technician to prepare customer spectacles to high standards using the latest equipment. You will be part of a team focused on accuracy, quality and customer satisfaction, applying your optical lab experience and strong communication skills in a dynamic retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an optical lab and high standards of workmanship.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail with flexible and adaptable approach.
• Passionate about people and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Reading lens and frame specifications from prescriptions
• Using blocking and glazing machines to cut lenses to the correct shape and fit
• Assembling lenses into frames
• Tinting of lenses to provide UV protection and a variety of colours
• Attention to detail
• Ordering frames and lenses
• Quality checking of completed glasses
