Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Oxfordshire seeks an Optical Designer to lead hands-on design and development of optoelectronic products. You will also support production and generate design records within the quality system, ensuring time, quality and cost targets are met.

With 60% design work and 40% production involvement, you will collaborate with engineers, customers and the supply chain, and help improve engineering processes. A competitive salary with future development opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Electronics or Optics.
Significant hands-on experience in Optical Design using Zemax.
Understanding of production processes and production involvement.

Responsibilities

Design and develop optical products in line with company procedures.
Support production and create engineering paperwork to build design records.
Work with engineers, customers and supply chain to meet time, quality and cost targets.
Contribute to process improvements in engineering workflows.
