Zest Optical is seeking an Optical Customer Technical Support Advisor in Milton Keynes. This office-based role combines hands-on optical knowledge with customer-facing duties, supporting independent opticians across the UK and liaising with production, service, and sales teams.

You will handle technical lens queries, order processing, and complex enquires while developing your practical knowledge of glazing and manufacturing processes. A competitive salary with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical lab/manufacturing or as Optical Assistant with strong technical lens knowledge.
• Practical understanding of spectacle lenses and glazing processes.
• Experience in a customer service or technical support role within optics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and order management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication.
• Confident dealing with customers and colleagues at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers, and to the Sales Team and Customer Service colleagues.
• Handle complex lens, glazing, and production enquiries and route to correct channels.
• Support the customer returns process with technical guidance.
• Assist customers with e-ordering, remote edging, and tracing services.
• Troubleshoot and provide practical technical solutions related to spectacle lenses.
