Job summary

ASDA Opticians in Nottingham is seeking a friendly, organised optical colleague to support eye examinations and dispensing services. You will prepare patients, explain tests, and assist with pre-screening appointments while ensuring accurate stock and smooth store operations.

You will dispense glasses and contact lenses, perform repairs and adjustments, and help customers with their ocular health questions in a welcoming environment. Training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Be friendly, welcoming and professional with customers.
• Demonstrate good organisation and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain eye tests clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations and explain each test stage.
• Book appointments and conduct pre-screening examinations.
• Dispense spectacles and contact lenses, and handle repairs/adjustments.
• Ensure stock is received and maintained by the supplier, and assist in training where needed.
