Job summary

Specsavers Kingswinford offers an Optical Assistant Apprentice role where you will spend 15-18 months training in a busy community store, earning a full-time wage while you learn the trade from an experienced team.

You’ll train alongside optical and audiology departments, with structured learning and ongoing support for development and career progression, culminating in becoming a qualified Optical Assistant.

The Kingswinford Specsavers store is a busy, community-focused optical and audiology practice committed to delivering exceptional customer care and professional expertise. Located in the heart of the local high street, the store benefits from excellent accessibility, with convenient public transport links including regular bus services connecting Kingswinford to Dudley, Stourbridge, and surrounding areas, making it easy to travel to and from the store.

Your on-the-job training will sit alongside structured learning and at the end of the 15-18 months as an apprentice, you’ll be a fully-fledged Optical Assistant.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as an Optical Assistant Apprentice.

• You’ll need a grade 9-4 (A*-C) GCSEs in Maths (or equivalent/predicted result)
• Individuals who have lived in the EU for 3 years or more, with the right to work in the UK
