Job summary

Specsavers Cirencester is offering an Apprenticeship for an Optical Assistant. You’ll train in optical and audiology services while earning a full-time wage and completing 15–18 months of paid work with ongoing coaching from experienced colleagues.

You will start with £8.20 per hour, work 38 hours per week including a weekend day, and gain practical skills in customer care, eyewear fitting, and pre-screening patients, supported by a strong team and extensive training.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths at grades 9–4 (A*–C) or equivalent.
• EU residence for 3+ years and right to work in the UK.
• Not currently enrolled in another government-funded course.

Your on-the-job training will sit alongside structured learning and at the end of the 15-18 months as an apprentice, you’ll be a fully-fledged Optical Assistant.
