Overview

Optical Assistant – Walsall

Salary £24,000 to 26,000 Depending on Experience

YOU MUST HAVE 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN OPTICS OR YOU’RE YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED

Responsibilities

• Supporting the optometrists and wider team in providing personalised patient care and professional dispensing
• Working with modern technology including OCT, fundus camera, and fields/pressure equipment
• Dispensing to all levels – Single vision, varifocals, bifocals and occupational glasses
• Pre-screening patients
• Contact lens teaches
• Shop floor duties including collections, adjustments, repairs and frame styling

Requirements

This role would suit someone with at least 12 months’ optical experience who enjoys both the clinical and commercial sides of optics, and who thrives in a collaborative, encouraging environment.

• Salary: Up to £26,000 DOE
• Bonus: 1,000–£1,500 typical per year
