Job summary

Specsavers in Thirsk is looking for an Optical Assistant who will warmly welcome customers, answer queries and help people choose eyewear. You’ll work alongside with experienced Opticians and Technicians and benefit from extensive training and development across our business.

This full‑time role is 37.5 hours per week, includes a weekend day, and offers a competitive hourly rate of £12.75–£13 depending on experience. Specsavers Perks and 28 days holiday are available to you.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
• Experience in optics or Audiology business
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and help them choose eyewear and accessories.
• Support customers and answer questions, guiding them to the best solutions.
• Work with Opticians and Technicians to ensure smooth service.
