Job summary

Specsavers Killingworth is seeking an Experienced Optical Assistant to join our friendly team. You will be the welcoming face for customers, guiding them through their optical journey with care, accuracy and a passion for great service.

You’ll work 40 hours per week, including a weekend day, in a busy store environment. A minimum of one year’s optical experience is required, with opportunities for training, progression and ongoing development within Specsavers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year’s previous optical experience as an Optical Assistant, Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant
• Confidence dispensing at all levels
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude
• Confidence using IT systems
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Willingness to step out of your comfort zone and develop new skills
• Openness to feedback and ongoing development, supported by a team that is genuinely passionate about employee growth and progression

The Role

As an Optical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional store environment. Using your passion for the Specsavers brand, products and services, you’ll support our customers through their optical journey while working closely with a supportive and ambitious team.
