Job summary

Leightons Opticians and Hearing Care in Winchester is hiring an Optical & Hearing Assistant for a part-time schedule (3 days Week One, 4 days Week Two). You’ll welcome customers, help them choose designer eyewear and assist the wider team in delivering high-quality optical and audiology care, with full training provided.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, building relationships, and supporting a premium shopping experience.

• Experience in customer service, retail or hospitality.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willing to travel for induction (4–6 weeks).

The Role

As an Optical & Hearing Assistant, you are the face of our Winchester boutique - the first impression, the warm welcome, guiding customers through a tailored experience. You'll receive full training in some of our diagnostic tools and team members will be on hand for support, giving you the confidence to deliver an informed service. You'll also have the opportunity to help customers choose from designer eyewear and feel fabulous. They'll leave us feeling seen, heard and delighted.
