Job summary

Howells Recruitment in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an Operations Manager to lead reactive maintenance and voids contracts across a £10-12m portfolio. You will oversee contract delivery, program planning, KPI monitoring and health and safety compliance.

You will manage a direct workforce of Contract Managers, Supervisors, Multi Trade Operatives and Admin/Planning staff, and work with Local Authority and Housing Association clients to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in securing and delivering reactive maintenance contracts with public sector / housing association clients.
• IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to understand client/contract requirements to maximise productivity and measure improvements.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
• Good understanding of H&S legislation.
• Experience of managing and improving internal and external customer relationships and conflict handling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a £10-12m portfolio of works and drive delivery on Reactive Maintenance & Voids.
• Plan and schedule programs, monitor KPIs, and drive performance improvements.
• Manage health and safety across contracts and compliance requirements.
• Lead a direct workforce of Contract Managers, Supervisors, Multi Trade Operatives and Admin/Planning team.
